I am a historical geographer working in the field of political and legal geography of rural landscapes and border areas. My research interests include the historical geography of Central and Eastern Europe with a focus on the Habsburg Empire in the long 19th century as well as on Czechoslovakia, Bavaria and the German Reich in the first half of the 20th century.

 

I am currently a Doctoral Candidate at the Bamberg Graduate School of Historical Studies, where I am researching and teaching as a team member at the Professorship of Historical Geography. I am an associated member of the Herder Institute Research Academy at the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe - Institute of the Leibniz Association in Marburg.
